WIS NEWS 10: ANDREWS TARGETS GRAHAM OVER PAC FINANCES

WIS News 10 Staff

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – Democrat candidate Annie Andrews accused Sen. Darline Graham of being too closely aligned with data center development as new questions emerge about outside spending and data center influence in the race for U.S. Senate.

Andrews pointed to a recent New York Times report showing a pro-AI and data center super political action committee (PAC) spending $1.5 million back to Graham while not disclosing its donors.

Andrews argued the spending raises questions about the influence of the data center industry in the election. She renewed her call for a two-year federal moratorium on new data centers.

She also said she believes Graham backs tax incentives and policies aimed at encouraging future development of data center facilities in South Carolina.

“Let that sink in,” Andrews said. “A brand-new super PAC with undisclosed donors has chosen Darline Graham as its first candidate to back. They’re spending millions to elect Darline, but South Carolinians still don’t know who’s footing the bill.”
