NEW: FOX NEWS MOVES SOUTH CAROLINA SENATE RACE TO TOSS-UP

The latest shift follows NYT/Siena poll showing Andrews and Graham tied 48-48, with Andrews leading independents by 20 points.

CHARLESTON, S.C. –– This morning, Fox News moved South Carolina’s U.S. Senate race to Toss-Up, the latest sign of growing momentum behind Dr. Annie Andrews as the race enters its final days.

The shift follows a new New York Times/Siena poll released Wednesday showing Andrews and Darline Graham deadlocked at 48% among likely voters. The poll found Andrews leading independents by 20 points, 57% to 37%, and holding an eight-point advantage on which candidate voters trust to handle the economy. The Times described South Carolina as having “moved squarely to the map’s center” in the battle for control of the Senate.

The latest rating change comes as Andrews continues building a bipartisan coalition, earning endorsements from former Republican Governor David Beasley, former Democratic Governor Jim Hodges, and more than 100 Republicans across South Carolina.

Just yesterday, Andrews joined Warren Norman, son of Republican Congressman Ralph Norman, for a beer as Republicans and independents continue to cross party lines to support her campaign.

Meanwhile, super PACs and special interests, including the data center industry, are pouring millions into South Carolina in a last-minute effort to save Graham’s campaign.

As early voting continues, Andrews is holding Get Out The Vote rallies drawing hundreds of South Carolinians across the state, including stops in St. Helena Island, Greenville, and Rock Hill, with another rally in Columbia today. With Election Day just five days away, Andrews continues taking her closing message directly to voters after 18 months of campaigning in all 46 counties.
