NEW: FOX NEWS, SABATO CRYSTAL BALL BOTH MOVE SC-SEN TOWARD ANDREWS
Shifts come as polling shows deadlocked race, bipartisan Governors endorse Andrews, and Washington Insider swoop in with special interest money to try to save Darline Graham’s flailing campaign
CHARLESTON, S.C. –– Today, Fox News and Sabato’s Crystal Ball – two of the nation’s leading elections forecasters — moved South Carolina’s U.S. Senate race from Likely Republican to Lean Republican.
The latest shift comes as no surprise. Every single public poll released since September shows the race as statistically tied.
Republicans and independents continue to join Dr. Andrews’ coalition to fix a broken Washington, headlined by two former South Carolina governors—one Republican and one Democrat.
It’s no wonder why the leading Washington Republican Super PAC has now scrambled to send over $10 million to try to save Darline Graham’s flailing campaign. This is on top of spending from other special interest groups, including the data center industry, which has spent more than $4.9 million to prop up “Data Center Darline.”
But that special interest money isn’t breaking through. That’s why President Trump is coming to South Carolina for the second time in two weeks as Graham’s campaign continues to flash massive warning signs.
Meanwhile, as early voting continues, South Carolinians will see more of Dr. Andrews on their TVs, online, and in their communities as she holds major rallies and town halls in every media market across the state over the next seven days.
