WJBF 6: DR. ANNIE ANDREWS MEETS WITH REPUBLICAN AND INDEPENDENT VOTERS IN AIKEN

AIKEN, S.C. (WJBF) – U.S. Senate candidate Dr. Annie Andrews made a stop in Aiken on Friday, Oct. 23, 2026.

The event was a town hall for Republican and Independent voters to get a chance to speak with Andrews. She spoke to them about her plans for South Carolina, and about the things voters would want to see from her, if elected.

“So the biggest issue that I’ve been hearing about is the affordability crisis, the cost of gas, the cost of groceries, the cost of health insurance premiums, rent and mortgage payments, home insurance payments going up,” she said. “Everybody is being squeezed more than they were before. We deserve someone in Washington who will actually roll up their sleeves and work to address those problems by suspending the gas and the diesel tax. And, you know, by stopping the tariffs that are driving up the cost of groceries. We just have a lot of work to do and we need to get that work done..”
